LO3: Suggest improvements to the pitch based on client feedback

The feedback given from my client were strengths and improvements such as:

Strengths:

• I had a good description of the target audience- which shows how I analysed my music video idea to base it around a specific demographic.
• It shows a good understanding of legal and ethical towards my music video- which shows how I can produce the music video but still adhering to the laws.

Improvements:

• I could talk more about the specific location of where it will be filmed as it could suit a wider target audience based on a. location.
• What I will be using each piece of equipment for.

From the feedback given I will need to figure out and have a better understanding on where the location will be- as it informs my audience more on what will be happening to create the music video- this is also a part of pre production which is important therefore it shows how I can create a music video from pre production stage to post production.

LO1: Treatment

LO1: Music Video Ideas

1)
Indie. Based around a couple who are in love and the ups and down of their relationship matching with the lyrics of the song.Contain them going on dates, small gigs, arguments, walks together. Will be upbeat song to get the target audience wanting to listen more

2)

Hip Hop. Based around a group of 3 boys and how they want to rise up to fame. Use conventions for their style and culture, will contain their difficult family lives, drugs and alcohol, getting their life together. Will be slow but catchy showing subgenres of rap.

3)

Country. Based on a lonely young girl walking through the country life singing about the life she wishes she has. Will be fun and exciting tempo, subgenre of pop to have a wider target audience.

4) 

Pop. Based on a group of girls and their lives. Showing them partying, on the beach/holidays, getting ready to go out. Will be a summer song to get a wide audience. Contain special effects to show the type of music.

LO1: Film Ideas

1)
Drama/ Mystery film trailer. A couple goes missing while exploring the countryside, with no evidence to what happened or where they could be so the police must find out. However days later more and more people go missing and now the policemen families are at risk--- The couple end up being the killers and have unfound mental problems, family member of the police officers find out and get them locked up

2)

Pyscholotic Thriller. A teacher who is also a family man is obsessed with a young girl student who he teaches at the same school. She realises that he is obsessed with her with him not knowing she has psychotic problems and now she is the one obsessed with him--- The girl ends up befriending his son after he tries to get away from her and later turns to the police to get him arrested and no evidence of her problems get found out, years later she is engaged to his son and his father gets out and tries to get revenge on her (which calls for a sequel)

Drama. A teenage girl named Arden has a secret... Who has recently split with her long term boyfriend Kit Valentine without reason. So Kit and his best friend Evan go on a mission to find out what Ardens secret is.--- Kit finds out Arden cheated on him with Evan and have murdered a girl at a party so now Arden and Evan have to team up to kill Kit so nobody finds out.

Sci-Fi. A young boy is adventuring to find new forbidden forest fruit when he comes across a 'poisonous' mushroom, he eats it and within a blink of an eye he ends up being in another planet to never return.--- He actually ended up being in a coma for several years and his family greet him with happy endings

Documentary. Based around the homeless society in Sheffield, explores where they have to sleep, how they eat and their overall life of being homeless in the city of Sheffield.

     

LO1: Strengths and Weaknesses of ideas

Strengths 

The strengths I believe I suceceeded in when creating ideas was choosing a variety of different story lines- which is great for gathering a wider audience based on the range of ideas. I also believe that it showed the conventions of my ideas through the description of what it is about.

I also talked about what the beat will be of the music video and how it will relate to my target audience, this is a strength as it shows I can create  target audience based on my ideas.

Weaknesses

However, I also had some weaknesses when discussing my ideas for my music video. One of my weaknesses came from not having enough of a narrative- this is a weakness because it might not show how much experimentation went in to producing my music video. I also didn't talk about any locations or costumes- this would have been good to write about as it shows codes and conventions of the planned genre through this.
